***********PLEASE READ NEW POLICY************
SSHB Rabbitry is prepared to give our guarantee to provide you with the healthiest, best quality rabbits we have available. On that note, due to situations of neglect, animal abuse, etc. SSHB holds it in their complete discretion to deny anyone who we feel to be unfit when it comes to raising and general care of our rabbits. I will never tell anyone how they should raise their livestock, BUT if is it not up to North Carolina laws for animal humanity, my own standards OR if I find you to be someone whom I am unable to trust with my rabbits, I will not sell to you. If I have any reason to question your views on handling rabbits, the environment they'll be kept in OR if I have EVER HEARD OF ANY NEGLECT OR ANIMAL CRUELTY ON YOUR PART, I WILL NOT SELL YOU MY STOCK. The majority of fellow breeders or even pet owners would agree to these terms and most likely uphold similar policies in regards to their own animals. We put a lot of time and work into their care and expect anyone willing to take on the responsibility of owning any animal to do the same. Thank you for understanding!
The following are required when purchasing our rabbits.
1. I've gotten requests to be put on a waiting list, I do not keep waiting lists..instead I encourage people to keep checking back, don't hesitate to email or message me every month to see what we may have. You're absolutely not bothering me and I'll do my best to keep the "upcoming litters" list available for everyone. I do not take a deposit of any kind until I can verify health and sex of the bun. The reason for this is because anything can happen with pregnancies on humans or animals, I would rather see the kits thriving before I accept any deposits. I will post as new litter on here and the Facebook rabbitry page as soon as they're born. I'll continue to post for the next month until I can sex them with confidence and see that they're all healthy.
2. Deposits will be due at 6 weeks (unless specific arrangements have already been made), the deposit will always be a NON REFUNDABLE 50% of the total amount due. The only time I issue a refund is if there are circumstances beyond my control pertaining to the rabbit while it's still in my barn. Rabbits will be ready for their new homes no sooner than 8 weeks of age. The remainder of the purchase must be paid before or at the time of pick up. Payment are only accepted as cash or PayPal.
3. Please understand that once the bunny is out of our hands it is up to you to follow any care guides, provide a clean and healthy environment (including diet) and care. Do not hesitate to contact me for any advice or questions you may have. If I don't know the answer I'll do my best to find an answer. If at any point (regardless of the amount of time) you have an issue come up with your rabbit, please contact me. I may not be able to do anything to fix it, but I'd like to know if there is something that I need to look for in my lines to prevent it from reoccurring again in the future. If I find out that something is wrong with a rabbit(s) you have bought from me I will contact you immediately to check on the status of yours. *This can include any kind of issue's found within the same litter as your rabbit*
5. Due to the fact that we raise more than one breed, keep more than one variety, and sell at different ages and levels (pet/brood/show), as well as some who may have been on the show table, received legs, placed higher or lower, along with a number of various factors; we have a no set price list to go by. Each rabbit will be priced specifically for that rabbit. Please keep in mind that this is not an auction, our prices our set and firm.
6. I will not hold a rabbit for any reason longer than 7 days. Unless it's a situation on my behalf that cannot be resolved, rabbits must be picked up within 7 days of agreeing to buy & making a deposit. If they are not picked up and/or I have not heard from you about any issue's that have come up, deposit is lost and they will be put back up for sale.
7. If a rabbit needs transportation, please understand that you, as the buyer are responsible for finding the proper transportation that will follow our agreement on pick up. I'm more than happy to give you some names of people who could possibly assist you with your transporting needs, but it is your overall responsibility to have this set up prior to any purchase.
